NINA HASKELSON
Nina Haskelson (she/they) is an art therapist and psychotherapist at Full Spectrum Creative Arts Therapy who provides a holistic, full-picture approach to mental health care for queer and trans individuals. Their approach is multimodal and eclectic, supporting clients on their journeys by utilizing a trauma-informed, person-centered approach. While she is Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) certified, her practice is also informed by principles of queer theory, nature and spirituality. Nina is invested in recognizing the myriad of ways our identities intersect and shape our experiences, mental health, daily struggles and triumphs.
Nina approaches clients with empathy and compassion, working to create spaces for self-expression, understanding, and healing. Nina is a skilled verbal psychotherapist, however is eager to bring artmaking into sessions, incorporating folk traditions, multimedia collage, and fiber arts into their work. Her experience spans from working with children to geriatric populations, including work with LGBTQIA+ unhoused youth and adults, hospitalized populations, and disabled individuals, young and old.
With a heart firmly focused on advocacy, she works to support queer, trans, and non-binary individuals in their journeys of self-discovery, creativity, and healing.
